Don’t Look Down is the debut release from Ainsley Hamill, Ösp Eldjárn and Dan Whitehouse. It features striking vocals, emotive spoken words - all set amidst crystalline instrumentation and a deeply considered production process from Kate Bush producer, Jon Kelly.
After connecting via the Global Music Match project, Hamill (Scotland), Eldjárn (Iceland) and Whitehouse (England) recorded this multi-faceted track at Kelly’s Tileyard Studio in London this summer.
Behind the track lies a story of an impossible departure from Tokyo, the universal need for self-acceptance and the gift of being able to trust one’s own abilities. Ainsley Hamill’s potent vocal presence follows Whitehouse’s conflicted spoken words, with Ösp Eldjárn’s adding swirling, atmospheric layers.The result is set to be the first in a series from their magical collaboration.
