about

Recording in one take is exciting and enlivening and this was no exception - being laid down live with my band (John Large / Drums and Simon Smith / Bass) in my Dudley studio. We really wanted to capture the flowing movement of glass in our groove - and this was the result.

‘The glass at the bottom of the solid pane had become thicker as glass is always moving, liquid and never still – like the industry itself and the craftspeople that migrated from across the world to the Stourbridge area to find their home.’
John Edgar

lyrics

You can’t stop the rain
You cant’ stop clouds from moving
Glass is just the same
Watch the craftsman at his lathe

Playing like a bow on a fiddle
May your secrets travel with you
From the Middle East to the west of the middle
Flowing where it needs to

Spinning, spinning
Spindle, copper, stone or diamond wheel
