Voices From The Cones is a narrated song cycle (recorded and a live show) about the history and community of the Stourbridge Glassworks. It is highly entertaining and moving as well as being rich in social history and wonderfully written and performed.
In 2019 singer-songwriter Dan Whitehouse was commissioned to write a song cycle on the history and surrounding community of glass making in Stourbridge. Storyteller John Edgar and Dan were given access to an oral history archive which featured interviews with 100 former glass workers who contributed their memories of working in the glass trade.
